Originally from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada my wife and I now call Colchester County, Nova Scotia, Canada home. Following a 15 month road trip through Canada, the U.S. and parts of Mexico, we chose the beautiful North Shore of Nova Scotia as our home base and a stepping off point from which to continue our exploration of culture, place and geography. 

Photography is one of the ways I explore the relationship between landscape, geography, and culture that combine to create a “sense of place” – that experiential and expressive way places are known, imagined, yearned for, held, remembered, voiced, and lived. 

By profession, I am an Architectural Technologist who has worked in architecture, engineering, and construction management for more than 30 years. My consulting company, Anturas Projects Inc., provides design and project + construction management services to a range of residential and commercial clients across Canada.
